Instructors

SCOTT KIVET  began his career as a police officer in 2003 on Long Beach Island, and then transitioned to his full time career at a Mercer County municipality where he became proficient in narcotics and DWI enforcement. He was then given the opportunity to be a part of the Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, which was followed by starting a proactive criminal interdiction unit, and has seized some of the largest self-initiated drug seizures in Mercer County, NJ.  Kivet, a Sergeant and certified Drug Recognition Expert, has generated over one thousand self-initiated arrests, with over 750 arrests involving the enforcement of narcotics and DWI, and received several distinguished awards.  Scott Kivet began his firefighting and EMS career in Monroe Twp in 1996, where he rose through ranks to Deputy Chief and an elected Fire Commissioner. He then continued his career in Plainsboro Fire Company where he was a Fire Commissioner, followed by being a Chief level officer for approximately 10 years, 4 being the Chief of the Department. Kivet is currently the Chief of the Tanker (Tender) Task Force and the regional Relay Strike Teams with Middlesex County.
